Deadpool, who wears a black-and-red costume and fights under the name "Deadpool," is not considered a hero by himself. Instead of adhering to a strict moral code, his actions are driven by money. When billionaire Tony Stark offers him a job in Tokyo, Deadpool is ready to take down Loki, the God of Mischief, who intends to seize control of Japan. As he embarks on his next adventure, Deadpool encounters Sakura Spider, a young girl with an unremarkable backstory. Despite her initial dislike of Deadpool and his methods, she joins forces with him when faced with a formidable enemy. Along with Neiro Aratabi, a popular idol with a symbiote in her body, they work together to save Japan so that Deadpool can receive his payment.

Deadpool: Samurai was made in collaboration between Marvel Comics and Shounen Jump+. It was published in English by VIZ Media from February 8, 2022, to June 14, 2022.
