MCM London Comic Con Runs Friday to Sunday at ExCel Centre
The event will consist of Anime Limited panels, movie showings, and meet-and-greets with voice actors Lauren Landa, Debi Derryberry, Sarah Wiedenheft, and Dante Basco.
The MCM London Comic Con ( link ) will take place from Friday May 23 to Saturday May 25 at the ExCel centre.
On Saturday at 5 p.m., there will be an industry panel hosted by Anime Limited on Centre Stage that will last for 45 minutes. On Sunday at 2:45 p.m., there will be another panel called "The World of Macross" also hosted by Anime Limited on Centre Stage which will last for 45 minutes as well.
Several movies will take place in Platinum Suite, Room 3 over the weekend. On Friday at 6 p.m., there will be a screening of Macross Plus, followed by Card Captor Sakura at 10 a.m., Naruto at 12 p.m., The First Slam Dunk at 1.40 p.m., DAN DA DAN at 5.30 p.m., and The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes at 1.15 p.m. on Sunday.
Lauren Landa and Debi Derryberry, both of whom are voice actors for the anime series Sailor Moon by Viz Media, are set to appear in two separate events. Landa voices the character of Sailor Neptune while Derryberry portrays Diana in these events.
As stated in the press release, both Landa and Derryberry are scheduled to be present at all three days of the event. They will participate in photo opportunities and autograph signings that can be purchased by attendees. Additionally, they are scheduled to participate in a panel discussion titled "Sailor Moon Celebration" which takes place at 12.05 p.m. on Saturday on the Centre Stage.
Landa's other voice roles include Annie Leonhart in Attack on Titan , Juno in BEASTARS , Tsukasa in TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You , May in Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE , Luviagelita Edelfelt in Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace note , Merin in The Seven Deadly Sins , Kyouko in March comes in like a lion and Miho in ODDTAXI .
Debi Derryberry is known for her roles as Ryo-Ohki in Tenchi Universe and Tenchi in Tokyo, as well as her work as the title character in The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius.
Another actor who will be attending the event is Sarah Widenheft, who has provided her voice for various characters such as Tohru in Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Lily Hoshikawa in Zombie Land Saga, Kiyoko Kushida in Classroom of the Elite, Power in Chainsaw Man, Hakari Hanazono in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, Suika in Dr. Stone, Phos in Land of the Lustrous, Ruby Kurosawa in Love Live! Sunshine!!, Claimoh Everlasting in Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, Misaki Sawakiguchi in HYOUKA, and Alus Ramus in The Devil Is a Part-Timer!
As stated in the press release, Wiedenfeht is scheduled to participate in photo opportunities and autograph signings during the entire event. Additionally, she will lead an interactive game session for Forget-Me-Not on Saturday at 1.45 p.m. on the Live Stage. Contestants in this session will have the chance to win exciting prizes by attempting to draw iconic characters from memory.
Dante Basco has appeared in various roles in both live-action and anime films. He is best known for his role as Prince Zuko in Nickelodon's Avatar: The Last Airbender series. In live-action films, he played Rufio in Steven Spielberg's Hook in 1991 and Bat in the 1995 American-produced live-action film of Fist of the North Star. In anime films, he voiced the main character Aiden in Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild in 2021.
Dante is scheduled to participate in various photo and autograph sessions during the entire weekend, as well as a live Q&A session on Sunday at 12 p.m. on Centre Stage for Priority and Weekend Ticket holders.
