Hyoka, Hyou-ka: You Can`t Escape, I scream, Ice-cream, The Niece of Time, Хьёка, هیوکا

The protagonist of the anime series "Hyouka," named Oreki Houtarou, is a high school student who becomes involved in an investigation concerning the 45-year-old mystery surrounding his school's Classics Club. Despite initially being reluctant to join the club due to its history and reputation, Oreki finds himself drawn into the case with the help of his fellow members, including Satoshi Fukube, Mayaka Ibara, and Eru Chitanda. Together, they must overcome obstacles such as deadlines and lack of information in order to solve the mystery buried beneath layers of dusty works from years past. The series is based on the award-winning Koten-bu light novel series by Kyoko Nakamura and directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto, known for his work on "Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu." Through its exploration of small mysteries in everyday life, Hyouka highlights the importance of curiosity and resourcefulness in uncovering truth.

The first episode received an early screening at a special event held at Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku on April 14, 2012. The regular TV broadcast started on April 23, 2012.
