In a realm reminiscent of medieval Europe, the esteemed yet feared Holy Knights of Britannia wield powerful magic to safeguard their homeland and its realms. However, there are whispers that a small faction among them betrayed their land and turned against their brethren in an attempt to seize control of Liones. Despite being vanquished, these legendary knights, known as the "Seven Deadly Sins," continue to be rumored alive. A decade later, the Holy Knights themselves stage a coup d'état and rule tyrannically over Liones. The popular manga series Nanatsu no Taizai follows Princess Elizabeth of Liones as she embarks on a quest to reclaim her kingdom from the Holy Knights and seek justice in an unjust world with the aid of the Seven Deadly Sins.

Netflix owns exclusive streaming rights to the series, all episodes were released on November 1, 2015 in both subtitled and dubbed format. Aside from the anime and manga, a video game adaptation and a few light novels also exist.
