    Anne Shirley, an imaginative and impulsive 11-year-old orphan, faces challenges in her new life at the Cuthbert house in Avonlea. Initially, Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert were seeking a male child to assist with fieldwork, but they were taken aback when they discovered that Anne was actually a girl. Akage no Anne chronicles Anne's growth from age 11 to 17 and her interactions with various individuals throughout her journey. Ultimately, Anne must make a significant decision that will have a lasting impact on her life.
