In 2063, commercial space travel is possible. when aries spring arrives at a spaceport for a camp on mcpa, her purse is stolen by a thief. luckily, kanata hoshijima retrieves it for her. it turns out that he is part of the group b-5 traveling with her on an excursion. upon reaching their campsite, their trip takes a bad turn when they are sucked into outer space by a black light sphere. stranded and far from home, they find an abandoned ship nearby to return home. however, they soon realize that they are thousands of light-years away from their campsite. the nine members must work together to manage resources, maintain strength, and overcome the challenges of space travel. the reason for their sudden obstruction is unknown, but they embark on a dangerous journey back home aboard their new ship, the astra.

The series won the 51st Seiun Award for Best Dramatic Presentation in 2020.
