The Best Wishes! series begins with Satoshi, who travels to Isshu region, far away from Kanto, Johto, Houen, and Sinnoh regions. He is accompanied by his Pikachu. After meeting Shooty, the new trainer and rival, he gains companions in Iris, a girl known for her Dragon Pokémon town, Dent, a Pokémon Connoisseur specializing in Grass Pokémon, and Professor Araragi of Sinnoh region.
